4th of July, 2007

We had such a fun and exhausting 4th of July. It is my favorite holiday and of course we had to go Big!!!!! We went to a family friends house, Sid and Karen's. They put on a 4th of July party every year and invite friends and family, it is such a fun and huge party. They have a large yard with a trampoline, swing set, volleyball court, merry-g-round, go carts and so much more. Tess wanted nothing to do with the go carts but I think Josh was a little bummed that he didn't get to ride them! We had a huge pot luck lunch and dessert and snacked the whole day until fireworks.

The fireworks are not illegal, I promise. They are the HUGE ones and I don't even want to think about how much money an hour of these fireworks cost! One of Sid's sons is trained and legal to shoot of the huge fireworks. I felt like I was under a professional fireworks display and that I needed to pay for admission!

Alexa spent most of her day here on the trampoline! The highlight for most of the kids was the go carts and merry-go-round, so the babies got to have fun without being trampled.

A cute picture of Tess pushing her sister on the tire swing! Alexa was looking at the merry-go-round. She really wanted to go on that but I was not willing to. I would get sooo sick!

Tess and her cousin, Amber found a time where there was nobody on the merry-go-round and got so excited to have it to themselves. Little did they know all the other kids were eating home made scones! They made me sick just looking at them spinning around, especially when Josh was pushing them!

Tess is very sensitive to loud noises and has always hated fireworks. Literally cries and screams if we try to watch fireworks! My mom found theese ear protectors that would lessen the noise the fireworks made and.....it worked!!!

Well, for a while it worked. Toward the end of fireworks she was done and saying they were too noisy. Alexa was almost falling asleep with them going off!!! Thanks for trying mom.
