Happy Birthday Joshua!!!!

The girls and I missed Josh while he was gone and had time to plan our own little surprise party for him. He was gone on his actual birthday...see the hair blog! We decorated the house with signs and streamers. Decorated cupcakes and put them in a tower to act as his cake and made him cards! He was so surprised and I think the girls (especially Tess) had a blast planning and decorating for the party. He is now officially 28 years old! Crazy how time flies.

This is him walking in the house and seeing it all decorated. We all yelled "surprise" and he really was surprised! He was so happy to see us and excited that we would do this for him.
The girls missed him so much! I was not expecting them to miss him that much. They would ask for him everyday and want to call him many times per day. When he finally came home they were so excited and would not leave his side. Lexi still gets mad at him for leaving her for a few minutes three days later :)Here is Josh blowing out his candles. There is not 28 candles but they were fun sparkler candles that were a little harder to blow out! The picture above shows him trying to blow out the last candle. I think he blew it out three times before it finally went! Here is Tess showing off the streamers in the living room! So fun!!And the TV. Yes we decorated around the TV! In my defense, you see it when you first walk in the house! Tess had so much fun decorating the house. Lexi went to bed because she kept tearing down the decor we just put up. We decorated the day before Josh came home.

Here are the girls "decorating" the cupcakes!! These were just for there eating pleasure. I think Alexa got into it, wouldn't you say? The spoon was for decorating the cupcake, hello one year old I am not going to give her a knife! She did not get that it was for frosting and not eating though. I must have been the best mom ever that night...a bowl of frosting and a spoon?!?!
