Bathroom Re-model Update

So, as you can see, we have done some more to our bathroom. It is really coming along and I am so excited for the finished product. We have been lucky to have Josh doing everything himself and he has done such a great job. Josh did the new walls, plumbing, electrical and now tiling himself. He has had help from friends and a little from me. It is a larger project than we originally thought! It will be well worth it when we are done so we are glad we got ourselves into this anyway! This week Josh tiled the shower area. It looks great and I LOVE the colors. The bathtub will be put in this week and then he can build the ledges around it and tile them. I think we will have the bath/shower and floor tiled in a week. Then it is on to the closet and all the finish work. Maybe two more weeks of construction zone, YEA!!!!

The shower walls (above) and josh tiling the shower (below)

This is where the vanity will go. The lights are up already. Just waiting for our vanity to be delivered. It is a dark cherry wood with black granite countertop. We are doing the faucet and knobs in brushed silver. I wanted oil rubbed bronze but it was not in our budget.

The toilet area. The pink wall next to it is where the bathtub/shower will be. This is the one part of our bathroom that we kept, where the toilet goes! The light/fan is new. So much better than the plastic one we had before. Little things can excite me :)

The closet area! We are going to have shelves and a built in dresser. It is a smaller closet but it will do. The closet is cut off in the picture, you can not see where we are going to put the dresser. We gain some closet room by doing it this way. The old closets take up a whole wall in our bedroom. We are going to tear them out and add windows to that wall.

I'm so excited for you! You will feel like a queen when it's done--and nothing is more motivating for keeping a bathroom clean than fixing it up...right?

Yeah I love it! I can't believe what a great job Josh has done. The tile looks so fun and very professional. I might have to come by and take a peak at the real thing soon. Good work Josh! Oh and you too Denise! Love ya!

Hey, so I'm turning into a blog stocker, but I just had to tell you something...

I've been doing a lot of research on health topics lately and I've really meant to email or call you about some of it, but I am lazy or something and haven't yet. Anyway, in my research on vaccines I found an article on SIDS deaths, which made the following statement:

"A mother loses a great deal of zinc in the placenta—which the mother in all other species eats immediately after giving birth. Zinc supplements are advisable so that the mother’s milk will not be zinc deficient. This is particularly critical for boys, who require five times more zinc than girls, to adequately supply their testicles (Very zinc-deficient mothers even give birth to all-girl families).

I don't know if this means anything, but hmmmm...

Looks good!I like the design. My hubby does tile on the side. I am so lucky he is a handy man. Looks like you have a handy man too.
