This is the blessing dress my mom made for Brooklyn. My whole pregnancy my doctor was preparing me for a nine pound baby. Imagine my surprise when I had Brooklyn at 6 pounds 2 ounces! Well my very talented mother was planning ahead for Brooklyn's blessing dress and made it for a large baby. I LOVE LOVE the dress and really want to use it. I am not sure if it just looks ridiculous or if it is alright to use. I am asking all of you for your honest opinions. A few of my sisters love the dress and said they would use if/when they have a baby girl. The dress will most likely not go to waste. What do you think????

When are you going to bless her? You could always wait until she's 3 months old and then it would fit better. What dress would you use if you didn't use this one?
I can't vote cause I can't decide. The first picture doesn't look too bad but the second one kind of does. Can't you just load her up on milk for the next 2 weeks? :)
I say YES! Use it. Your Mom made it for Brooklynn and who cares, most babies look like their blessing outfits are a little too big. So I say Definitely YES!!!
We are blessing her Aug 2nd, I am trying my best to chubby her up! If I do not use this dress I need to go buy one. I am having a hard time finding one I love that I can get in such short notice. I am leaning toward having her wear this dress. I love that my mom made it and it is very pretty!
Keep voting though; I would love to hear what you say. You will find out what I do in a few weeks!
I say use it for sure! I don't think it looks bad. Like Courtney said the second picture kind of makes it look too big, but I think it's just around the neck. I wouldn't have even noticed it was too big if you didn't say so. I wish we could come up!
I think it looks better than a store bought dress!!! It does look a little big in the second picture, but I think she might grow into it in the next few weeks. I would use it because it was made for her, looks pretty, and I doubt you'll find anything better fitting (or better looking) so quickly. Maybe put a onesie on underneath to see if that helps fill it out. I don't know. I'll I know is she is cute. You could bless her in a diaper and she'd look good. :)
I agree with what everybody else said. With the first pic looking great, but noticing the size in the second one. I still think it is super cute. I think I would use it.
