Just wanted to share some fun pictures and memories. We had a fun spring break of just hanging out at home and playing with Friends. Tess did have her cousins Amber and Cori over for a night and then spent the next night at there house. They get along so well it is fun to have them close by.
While Tess and I were at a birthday party earlier last week, Joshua and Alexa went for a bike ride. We have been wanting one of these bike seats for a long time and finally broke down and bought one. Alexa loved it and we can not wait for camping season. Bike rides are an everyday thing when we are camping. Tess and I got home just as they were finishing the bike ride. Tess got on her bike to join them up the street. Tess had a hard time keeping up with Josh and got discouraged. We need to practice bike riding!
Does she not look so cute?
Lexi found Joshua's jacket and thought she would try it on. She then got her shoes on and tried to convince us she was ready to play outside.
Joshua was playing the piano and the girls thought the music was meant for a ballet, so they danced. It was right before bed time and worked really well to get them tired for bed. They danced for about ten minutes and were asking for bed time. We need to do this more often.

A few day's ago we were driving to the grocery store and there was a man on the side of the road asking for money. I gave him a few dollars and drove off. Tess was asking why we gave money to that man and what he needed it for. I explained he was hungry and needed the money for food. After the grocery store we were pulling into our driveway and my garage door opener was having a hard time opening the door. I got frustrated and called it a "stupid thing". After Tess scolded me for saying a bad word she asked why we don't buy a new one. Trying to teach her about money I told her we needed to save up for it and did not have the money this month to do so. She than asked why I don't stand on the corner asking for money. That way we could get the garage door fixed and maybe have some left over for a new toy for her! I had to burst her bubble in letting her know you only ask for money if you need it and not just want it. So, if you see my child on the edge of our street asking for money....I tried! It is cute how innocent they are on these subjects but I would like to teach my child about the value of money and importance of saving it. Any suggestions on how to teach her?
Alexa loves to give hugs and kisses to anyone or thing that she can. Here she is giving bear a kiss. The kiss lasted a good two minutes and I was able to get a picture of it. A few day's later we gave the girls bears a bath in the kitchen sink! They sleep and love to kiss them. I wounder why my kids get sick all of the time?

Looks like so much fun! I love the dancing in the living room to daddy's music! What a good memory they'll have! And I love the beggar story!
What a fun bunch of pictures.
I also loved the beggar story! I see Eliza more and more in Alexa every new picture, its fun to see that she does have some Burns in her.
I love that you guys go biking when camping. What a great idea!
