Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mothers Day this year. We had a lazy day around the house and finished the day with cake! Tess made me this cute flower pot with decorated pens in the middle. Joshua and the girls made the cake below! This is Josh's first cake and he did such a good job. It not only looked good but tasted great as well!
Lexi was sick with a bladder infection. She wanted to be changed every time she went to the bathroom. Silly me thought she was ready to be potty trained...then she got a fever, bloody noses and was throwing up! We soon realized she was really sick and brought her into the doctor. I woke up Mothers day morning being thrown up on! Ya, happy mother's day to me! I then got to take a very long bubble bath and read my new books all of which Joshua got me for mother's day. The bath made up for the early gift from Lexi! I am so blessed to be a mother and especially to my two girls.

Josh is my hero! I tried to make the same cake--but didn't beat the whipped cream long enough and it was wilting all over the place. I am very impressed! And, I'm glad your Mother's Day got better after a rough morning. :)

Oh a Mother's work is never done. It doesn't even stop when it's Mother's day. Oh well. Good job on the cake Josh. Love the hat as well. Thanks for coming to the play date.

Nothing like being thrown up on to remind you that being a mom comes with the good and the disgusting. Good thing the good stuff makes up for all the gross stuff! Looks like a good cake! What a guy!
