We had to go see the Mayflower II while at the beach. We were only 20 minutes away from it and we thought the kids would learn from and enjoy the experience. Tess was soo excited when she saw the ship. She said with her jaw wide open, "look, it is prince Eric's ship. Is this where Ariel and Eric live?" It was so cute we did not have the heart to tell her no. Instead of taking an educational tour of the Mayflower replica, we took an excited tour of Prince Eric's ship from the Disney move The Little Mermaid. I love having a girl at times like this!!

The captains bed. Most people slept on the floor. The rich would make a wooden bed and have the kids sleep on the floor under the wood bed. Oh the luxury.
Tess was soooo excited to look out the round window that Ariel spied on Prince Eric in the movie. When we got on the ship all she wanted to do was find the circle window. I was fearful there would not be a circle window, but we were saved when we went downstairs!
Lexi was feeding off of Tess' excitement and wanted to look out the window as well.
