Bike-a-thon

Tess' school had there annual bike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital. Tess has so much fun. All week long they learn about bike safety and finish the week by riding there bike in the parking lot of her school for half an hour! I was so scared that she would be the only one with training wheels still on, but she was one of many with them still on. (We tried to teach her a while ago with no luck!)Tess was on the go the whole time. That is until the police officer puller her over! He had his radar gun out and was telling the kids how fast they were going. Tess was taking her time at 5 mph, some of the kids were doing 9 mph! The speed limit is 5 mph, no joke :) The picture below is of Tess and her friends getting their helmets checked. Lexi was a good sport and cheered her on the whole time. She did want to ride her bike and that is why she has a ring pop! Bribery works well for situations like this!

That sounds like so much fun! Was she scared or shy with the cop? And, I love that proceeds went to a good cause! I love St. Jude's!

So cute. That is funny that they had a speed limit! Leave it to Tess to follow the rules, she is such a good girl! She looks like she is having a blast!
