Easter 2009

Happy Easter!!

Lexi got the hang of the Easter egg hunt real fast! She was so happy to have the eggs and even more excited when she discovered all of them were full of candy!!! Tess helped her since parents were not allowed past the tape. Can you see the parents in the pictures?? Why we thought we had to obey rules beats me! It was cute to see Tess helping her little sister out. After a little while Tess came back to us because Lexi had the whole "grab as many eggs as possible" theory down.

Tess with her full basket! We went to an Easter egg hunt in the center of town. The city literally shut the downtown road down for the egg hunt. They divided the egg hunts into age groups and everything was really organized. The only thing we would change is the location. Lexi's was the 1-2 year old and hers was perfect. Tess' was the 5-6 year old and was not very difficult. Josh called it an "Easter egg grab" because the eggs were just laid out on the road. Tess had a blast and it was free, so really we can't complain :)

Tess amazed us this year. She definitely has the whole "grab as many eggs as you can" theory down. She was so fast out there that her basket was full while other kids her age were still filling there baskets. I was surprised and proud to see her return to us when her basket was full. I would have thought she would try to put some eggs in her pockets! She knew there was candy and prizes inside the eggs and wanted the prizes!

The Easter Bunny brought some goodies for the girls. There reaction is below. It is always fun to see them get so excited over these holidays.
The girls dyed some Easter eggs and thought it would be more fun to color them with markers! Maybe next year we will!

Tess was very cautious and patient with the egg's this year. Lexi was none of the above. She practically threw the eggs into the dye. The picture below was supposed to be a picture of her in action but I was too late. You can kinda tell she just got done throwing one in the dye.
