Keeping up with Alexa!

Alexa is now 13 months old! (well in a few days) She is learning something new every day and is really becoming a toddler! Scary!!! This week she has learned how to run, turn the stove on, and open all the doors in the house. That includes the ones that go outside. She is always on the go and Tess and I are exhausted by the end of the day! She loves to play outside and pounds on the door when she wants to play in the backyard. That is how she learned how to open doors. I would not let her play outside, so she took matters into her own hands! I found her on our back deck the first time she opened the back door! She had her one year doctor's appointment yesterday, and is just perfect!!
She is 24 pounds (89%) 31 1/4 in (97%) and head circ. is 45 1/2 cm (64%)!! She is a big girl all around. She is doing great with all the milestones and is ahead on speech. Those of you who have ever spent five minutes with Tess know she does not stop talking, I think Alexa is following in her footsteps!!!

The picture of Tess is not a recent one, but it is how she looked the other night. She is playing with Alexa more and more and I am able to do less and less. She is still taking naps and by the end of the day is telling us she is tired. The other day she told Alexa " Lexi, I need a break. Lets go sit and rest for a while" she then turned to me and said "whew I am getting older huh mom?" They are so fun and keep me young at heart!!

Hey Denise! What cute cute girls. I can't believe how independent and determined little Lexy is. I'm guessing that's how my Kade will be. And there's nothing better than a chubby baby. I bet Alexa will burn it all off now that she's running!!!

(By the way, with the stove thing, I've seen guards you can put up so they can't reach up and touch the stove. In case you're wondering...)
