Happy Halloween!!!
For Halloween the girls dressed up as princess', what else? Tess was Genevieve from the Barbie movie "12 dancing princess'" and Lexi was Cinderella. Tess was ready to go and even put her own makeup on before I could get Lexi in her dress! She was so excited and remembered trick or treating from last year. We were blessed with good weather (65 degrees at 4 pm!) Alexa has had a very hard week with her asthma and we were not going to bring her out in the cold this year. I felt bad for Tess and decided to go trick or treating at an outdoor mall that started the trick or treating at 2pm. It was so warm the girls did not need to wear jackets. Lexi did good and we ended up trick or treating for an hour. We then came home to hand out candy, eat dinner and get ready for the church Halloween party. Tess LOVED handing out candy!! She would stand on the front porch yelling for people to come to her house. When someone was walking up to our front door she would yell "Mom there's customers!" Lexi would wave and yell "bye bye" to everyone as they went to the next house. The girls had us cracking up all night. I think next year we might just stay home to hand out candy :) Something tells me Tess will be out of the stage of wanting to hand out candy by next year! The picture below is Lexi relaxing in her booster seat eating her grapes. Trick or treating is hard work!
We were invited to a Halloween play date the day before Halloween. The kids had so much fun playing with each other, decorating pails with stickers and frosting cookies. The play date was during Lexi's nap time and she did not do too well. She had fun for a little while, ate snacks and was ready to go! The picture below is of Tess and her friends, Ben, Ryan and Hannah. There are four younger kids missing from the picture...the adults were tired of forcing then to sit still for a picture only to have them cry!!!!
Paiten and Tess at the play date. Do they not look like they were getting into trouble and just busted!?!? I think they were sick of me taking there picture!

Here is Tess and her pail she decorated.

This is Hannah wearing my devil wig. I had the wig and a devil pitch fork to go with it!! I never did get a picture of me wearing the outfit so here is one of Hannah in it. She looks better in it than me anyway!! :) Can you can tell she had just eaten chocolate?

Tess digging into her frosted cookie. I do not think she could have fit any more sprinkles or candy on her cookie. Yum.

So cute. So did you have to touch up Tess' makeup or did she do a good job of it? I wish you had taken a picture of you dressed up. Did Josh dress up as well?
I had to wipe off the lipstick around her mouth...she looked like a clown. The play makeup was awful though, so I thought she did a good job. Josh dressed up in a black afro wig and a "peace out" t-shirt. The 2nd counselor in bishopric and Josh were in the same costume!! I wish we would have taken pictures of the family at the ward part. The girls were going in separate directions and it was crazy!
Ah, Tess is so grown up.
